On December 1, 2019, Joshua Baker, 19, was found shot and deceased inside a Conyers, Georgia, home during a welfare check. A student at Albany State University and a member of the Marine Reserves, Joshua was described as a young man with big dreams and a bright smile. Authorities discovered three bodies inside the residence: Joshua, his 25-year-old sister Jaydah Curry, and Jaydah’s 50-year-old husband Michael Curry.
The deaths of Joshua and Jaydah were ruled homicides; all three victims had been shot. Investigators reported no signs of forced entry, and officials did not immediately release a timeline of events. The family has publicly expressed their belief about what occurred, and a vigil was held to honor the two youngest victims.
If anyone has information about Joshua, Jaydah, or the events that led to their deaths, please come forward.
