Albert Leroy Blash, 61, was shot and killed inside the couple’s West Macon home on Leone Drive during a domestic dispute that turned violent. The shooting occurred just after 1:00 p.m. on a Monday; his wife of three weeks, 48-year-old Tomeko Hughes Thompson Blash, fired one shot from a semi-automatic pistol that struck him in the chest. Albert Blash was taken to Navicent Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Tomeko Blash was taken into custody for questioning and later arrested and charged with manslaughter; she was booked into the Bibb County Jail and held without bond. Sheriff David Davis said there had been no prior calls to the residence and neighbors reported no known problems between the couple. A teenage daughter of Tomeko’s was in the house but did not witness the shooting.
Are there readers who knew the Blash family or who have information about the days leading up to this shooting?
