Dakota Farr, 20, was fatally shot in the early hours of January 2, 2019, while sitting in a vehicle with friends in a vacant driveway on Hillside Drive in a Stockbridge, Georgia, mobile home park. Severely wounded, Farr flagged down responding Clayton County officers around 4:30 a.m. and was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center, where he died. A woman in the vehicle suffered a gunshot wound to her arm that left permanent damage; a child with them was unharmed.

Authorities say the attack was initially described as carried out by an unknown person for no apparent reason, but the investigation later produced several arrests. Clayton County police charged 20-year-old DeQunn Watts with felony murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery, alleging he fired into the vehicle. Investigators also allege the shooting grew out of a planned robbery; 18-year-old Breonna Colley of Locust Grove and an unnamed juvenile were charged with murder and criminal attempt for their alleged roles in setting up the robbery.

Why was Farr in that vacant driveway that night, far from his home in Spalding County, and who else might have information about the planned robbery?
