On a December evening in 2018, 19-year-old Aubria Foster was inside her boyfriend’s home on Savannah Street in Newnan, Georgia, when gunfire from the street sent a bullet through the exterior wall and into the living room. Foster, a graduate of East Coweta High School, was found unresponsive on a couch just after 9 p.m. and was later pronounced dead at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Several other people were inside the house; none were injured. Investigators recovered multiple bullet holes and spent shell casings in the street, and initially searched for suspects and a motive.
Police later determined the shooting stemmed from a gang-related dispute and not from anything involving Foster. Authorities said the attack was intended as retaliation for an earlier June 2018 incident; the shooter allegedly fired at least ten rounds into the home after being driven to the address. A reward of up to $5,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest.
Did anyone in the Newnan area know Aubria or have information about the events that night?
