In the early morning hours of November 10, 2018, a dispute at the Prime Bar and Grill in Duluth, Georgia spilled from inside the bar into the sidewalk and parking lot and ended in gunfire that killed 26-year-old Malik Jett and the bar’s 47-year-old co-owner, James Kim. Both men were struck during the chaotic exchange and were taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead. Initial reports described Kim as an innocent bystander; Jett’s role in the original altercation was unclear in the immediate aftermath.

Authorities identified 23-year-old Samuel Songsy as a suspect and issued a warrant accusing him of aggravated assault, alleging he struck Jett with a handgun. Songsy turned himself in to the Gwinnett County Detention Center a few days later. His attorney publicly described him as acting in self-defense and said Songsy fired back after Jett began shooting.

Are there witnesses or anyone who was at the Prime Bar and Grill that night who can shed more light on what happened in the parking lot?
