A domestic dispute in a Macon home turned deadly on May 29, 2018, when 45-year-old Larry Antonio Harden was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Hillcrest Avenue. Harden’s girlfriend drove him to Medical Center Navicent Health, where he died and was pronounced dead at about 2:30 a.m.
Bibb County investigators identified two people linked to the shooting and arrested 42-year-old Annie Jones and her 23-year-old son Seller Bell later that day. Authorities say an argument between Harden, Jones, and Bell preceded the shooting. At trial, evidence cited included forensic findings, medical reports, cell phone data, and family witness testimony; the jury found Bell guilty on counts including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bell was sentenced to life without parole for the killing of his mother’s boyfriend, Larry Harden Sr.
If anyone knew Harden, Jones, or Bell, or has information about the events at the Hillcrest Avenue home that morning, please share what is known.
