On March 13, 2018, a vehicle was found off Sterling Wells Road in Thomson, Georgia, having struck a tree. Two people inside were initially believed to have died in a single-vehicle crash: 43-year-old Kenyetta Germany, a male, and 42-year-old Cheri Stone. Autopsies at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab later revealed both had sustained gunshot wounds, and their deaths were ruled homicides.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol opened a joint investigation. On August 20, 2018, 39-year-old Chet Kent of Thomson was arrested and charged with two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of Germany and Stone, along with one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Kent was in custody in Thomas County on unrelated charges when the murder charges were brought and was transferred to McDuffie County Jail.
Are there details about Germany’s life or movements before March 13, 2018 that anyone can share?
