On a Sunday night in March 2018, a house party on Ibex Street in Macon, Georgia, turned violent and 21-year-old Monterrius Malik Dugger was shot twice in the chest. Dugger was taken to a nearby hospital and died on March 11, 2018. Two other people were wounded and reported in stable condition.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office identified 23-year-old Antonio DE’Juan Caesar Walker as the primary suspect and a warrant was issued. Walker surrendered the following Wednesday and was charged with one count of murder, three counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and a probation violation. A grand jury later indicted Walker on multiple counts, including malice murder and felony murder, and he was held in the Bibb County jail without bond as the case proceeded.

The shooting was connected to an argument at a location described as a liquor house, and it renewed local concern about violence and illegal activity on Ibex Street. If anyone attended that gathering or has information about the shooting, please share what you know.
