On the evening of February 14, 2018, 29-year-old Savannah resident Terry Coburn was fatally shot at about 6:30 p.m. at a neighborhood basketball court in the Sunset Park area near Sunset Boulevard and April Street. First responders found Coburn with gunshot wounds; he died at the park.

A 10-year-old child at the court was grazed by a bullet, treated at the scene for minor injuries, and released. Savannah Police Department Violent Crimes detectives opened a homicide investigation, cordoned off the area to collect evidence, and interviewed potential witnesses. Authorities appealed to the public for information and provided a tip line and the local CrimeStoppers number.

No arrests or suspects have been publicly announced and the motive has not been disclosed. Does anyone who was in Sunset Park that evening or who knows Terry have information that could help investigators?
