On October 31, 2017, 38-year-old Jackie Dewayne Rouse was shot and killed during a dispute at a party on Dennis Street in Macon, Georgia. The same exchange of gunfire also wounded 31-year-old Quincy Bernard Emory, whose injuries were reported as non-life-threatening. The shooting was one of several violent incidents in Macon that Halloween night.
Investigators identified and arrested two suspects, Trayvion Lamonte Burney and Anterrio Tremaine Stinson. Both were charged with multiple felonies connected to Rouse’s death, including Murder, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. Court filings noted prior records for both men; Burney had a previous conviction and Stinson was on probation as a first offender.
Reports say the family remembered Rouse as a loving husband, father, son, and brother. Does anyone have information about Rouse’s life in Macon or witnessed the events on Dennis Street that night?
