On the afternoon of Saturday, August 26, 2017, a 911 call to the Adel Police Department reported shots fired at 301 South Oak Street. Officers found two brothers, 51-year-old Carl Edward Kaiser and 46-year-old Bobby L. Kaiser, both with gunshot wounds and transported them to South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. Carl Edward Kaiser was pronounced dead on arrival; Bobby Kaiser sustained a non-life-threatening injury. A third man, 37-year-old Cervantez Pertilla, drove himself to the Cook Wellness Center in Adel with a gunshot wound and was later transferred to South Georgia Medical Center in critical but stable condition. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was asked to lead the inquiry and an autopsy for Carl was scheduled at the GBI Crime Lab in Macon. No arrests or charges directly tied to Carl’s death have been publicly announced.

Did anyone in Adel or Cook County hear or see anything at 301 South Oak Street that afternoon?
