In the early hours of April 24, 2017, 31-year-old Courtney A. German was found dead from gunshot wounds inside a residence on East 31st Street in Savannah, Georgia. He was one of three people killed that night; 18-year-old Shayla Curtis and 24-year-old William Mullins also succumbed to gunshot injuries. Investigators described the killings as not random.

Courtney was a Savannah native, a Windsor Forest High School graduate, a certified HVAC technician studying Business Management, an assistant manager at a local Wendy’s, and a member of St. Benedict the Moore Catholic Church. Evidence recovered at the scene, including shell casings and fingerprints, led authorities to charge Keith Lamont Maro. Maro admitted to the shootings and said he acted in self-defense, citing paranoia and drug-induced fear, but was convicted and given multiple life sentences; the Georgia Supreme Court later upheld those convictions.

Does anyone with memories of Courtney or information about that night in April 2017 have details to share?
