Abdul Lucas, 48, was shot and killed in his home on Cleveland Lane in Rhine, Georgia, on the evening of November 1, 2016. His wife, Donna Lucas, initially told police she shot him after a physical assault; that account was echoed by her teenage children, Destiny Rogers and Antoine Squire, who were Abdul’s stepchildren.
Investigators from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office later found inconsistencies in the family’s statements. A follow-up inquiry determined the original narrative was false and that Antoine Squire had been the person who fired the fatal shot. On November 18, 2016, Squire was arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Donna Lucas and Destiny Rogers were arrested the same day and charged with making false statements to law enforcement.
Does anyone have information about Abdul’s life in Rhine or about the household leading up to November 1, 2016?
