A 22-year-old man was killed in a Suitland, Maryland cul-de-sac in the early hours of January 19, 2011. Police responded about 2:30 a.m. to the 3500 block of Terrace Drive and found Douglas Hodge Jordan Jr., of Washington, D.C., suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead, his death recorded as the 14th homicide in Prince George’s County that year.
County authorities increased patrols and added county, state, municipal and federal personnel to homicide efforts amid a broader rise in violence at the time. Despite the investigation, no public announcement of suspects or arrests has been made, and the case is not listed as solved. Few details beyond the scene and the victim’s identity have been released.
If anyone knew Douglas Jordan Jr., saw activity in the Terrace Drive area that night, or has information about this shooting, please come forward.
