Davon Adams was 21 when he was shot and killed near the Bryant Park Apartments on Hillandale Drive in Norcross, Georgia. On the night of March 12, 2016, he had been out with friends at an entertainment center; later that evening the group drove to the apartment complex for reasons that remain unclear. Officers responding to a 911 call found Adams in the parking lot near the 6500 building at about 1:41 a.m. on March 13, 2016, with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene after officers rendered aid until paramedics arrived.
Gwinnett County detectives opened a homicide investigation and sought motive and suspects. In the weeks after the killing no arrests were reported, and Adams’s family urged the public for help. About a month after the shooting Crime Stoppers increased the reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment to $5,000. The case remained unsolved with no suspects publicly identified or in custody.
If anyone has information about where Adams or his friends were that night, or saw activity near the 6500 building around 1:30 a.m. on March 13, 2016, please share what you know.
