Ronald Forcier, a 67-year-old white man, was found shot to death inside his vehicle at the intersection of East 35th Street and Ott Street in Savannah, Georgia, on the evening of February 15, 2016. Officers responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle discovered Forcier’s body after witnesses in the area reported hearing gunfire that night.
The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department’s violent crimes unit investigated and identified two suspects. In March 2016 investigators arrested 46-year-old Shawn Ramone Bowens and charged him with murder. In May 2017 50-year-old Karen Williams, also known as Karen Lynette Clark, was arrested on outstanding warrants served while she was detained for shoplifting; the warrants tied her to aggravated assault, felony murder, and malice murder in Forcier’s death. Both Bowens and Williams were later indicted on malice murder and felony murder; Bowens also faced a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Does anyone have information about Forcier, his movements on February 15, 2016, or eyewitness accounts from East 35th and Ott Streets that could help clarify what happened that night?
