Cristobal Becerras-Contreras was 27 when he was found dead behind a duplex on Wood Creek Way in Rome, Georgia, on December 22, 2015. His death was the result of a fatal gunshot wound and was investigated as a homicide by the Rome Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Division.
Within a day of the discovery, two people were arrested and charged as parties to the crime: Delaney Scott Ray, 20, and Kelesha Corron Dorsey, 19. Investigators say the two women conspired with a third person, Kyle Anthony Strother, in a planned armed robbery of Becerras-Contreras that escalated when he was shot. A fourth individual, Marcus Antwon Townsend, was later indicted for allegedly making false statements to police about the murder.
If anyone knew Cristobal, saw activity around Wood Creek Way on or before December 22, 2015, or has information about the people named, please come forward to help complete the picture of what happened.
