On the morning of December 22, 2015, 43-year-old Deleon Wiley Hudson pulled his Nissan Xterra into a parking spot behind an apartment complex on Lakeshore Drive in Macon after dropping his wife at work. He planned to listen to music and play a game on his phone before his day started. Shortly before noon firefighters found the Xterra ablaze and, after extinguishing the fire, discovered Hudson in the driver’s seat with a fatal gunshot wound. Investigators reported a rag had been stuffed into the gas tank and set alight, apparently to destroy evidence.

The case went without a suspect for several months until May 2016, when a family member of 20-year-old Torrance Deon Rouse told police Rouse had confessed to a robbery that turned deadly, saying he shot a man after a sudden movement. Surveillance video showed a man leaving the scene around 9:30 a.m., about the time a gunshot was reported. Rouse was arrested and later confessed to investigators; he was charged with murder and held without bond.

Does anyone have information about Hudson’s movements that morning or recall seeing a person near Lakeshore Drive around 9:30 a.m. that day?
