Ty’Ron Davis was 23 when he was shot and killed in Morrow, Georgia, on the evening of November 9, 2015. Officers responded about 8:15 p.m. to reports of gunfire at the Clayton Station Apartments, a student housing complex, and found Davis lying in a breezeway with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center but did not survive. An autopsy later confirmed he had been shot twice.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation took over the homicide inquiry. Investigators interviewed witnesses, friends and family, and determined Davis was not a Clayton State University student. In December 2015 the GBI named 23-year-old Larenzo Marcel Drayton as a person of interest and asked the public for help locating him as a potential witness. No arrests or suspects have been publicly announced and the motive remained unclear in the early investigation.
Did anyone who lived at or visited Clayton Station Apartments that night see something that could help bring answers?
