Frank William Wilson, 24, was fatally shot in the early morning of October 18, 2015, at Savannah’s City Market. He was shot eight times, with most bullets entering from behind. Authorities say the killing was an act of revenge tied to a prior incident on December 26, 2013, in which Wilson had killed Antonio Terrell Heyward; that earlier death had been ruled self-defense and Wilson was not charged.
Police say Joseph Heyward carried out the October 2015 shooting, fled on foot, and was quickly apprehended after a chase. He was charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Prosecutors presented evidence of premeditation, including a jailhouse phone call in which Heyward expressed satisfaction with his actions.
On October 5, 2017, Heyward was found guilty and given life without parole plus five years for the firearm count. Does anyone have information about Wilson’s time in Savannah or about witnesses who might have been at City Market that night?
