Dr. Lisa Marie Riley, a 34-year-old emergency physician at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in her Northampton Road home in Leesburg, Georgia, on the morning of July 10, 2015. Her husband, Yathomas Riley, placed a 911 call reporting he had returned from out of town and found her bleeding and saying she had shot herself. Emergency responders pronounced Lisa Riley deceased at the scene.

Investigators discovered multiple firearms in the residence, and Yathomas Riley was initially arrested on an unrelated bond violation tied to a June domestic dispute in which he had been charged with three counts of aggravated assault for allegedly threatening his wife with a handgun. On July 20, 2015, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation secured warrants charging Yathomas Riley with Murder, Felony Murder, and Aggravated Assault; an autopsy had confirmed a fatal gunshot wound to Lisa Riley’s head. The case remains focused on the circumstances of her death.

If anyone knew Lisa Riley or saw activity at the Northampton Road house in July 2015, please share what you know.
