Jerald Dewayne ’JD’ Corbin, 49, was shot during a domestic dispute in Macon, Georgia, on May 25, 2015. Corbin, a Captain D’s employee for more than a decade, was shot in the right shoulder after an argument with his girlfriend, 42-year-old Lisa Michelle Mack, over another woman. He was hospitalized in stable condition at first but died of his injuries on May 31, 2015; his death was ruled a homicide.

Mack was arrested after the shooting and initially charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, with bond set at $22,400. Following Corbin’s death, authorities announced plans to upgrade the charges to include murder.
