Natalia Roberts was 30 and a single mother of three young daughters when she was killed on September 19, 2014. She lived in LaFayette, Georgia, worked as a server at a local Sonic Drive-In, and had a newborn daughter just three weeks old.
As Natalia walked down a flight of stairs inside the home with her three-week-old and three-year-old daughters, Goins shot her in the back of the head with a .380-caliber handgun. Goins initially told police she had shot an intruder and fled with the children before returning and repeating that claim. Investigators determined Goins had concocted the scheme as part of an effort to claim Natalia’s newborn and sustain a fake pregnancy. Goins was arrested in Marion County, Tennessee, extradited to Georgia, and charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and tampering with evidence. In 2016 she pleaded guilty and received life without parole.
Does anyone have information about Natalia’s life in LaFayette or remember her from the community?
