Ramone Monie Bowers was 18 when he was shot multiple times on September 25, 2006, in the 300 block of East Duffy Street in Savannah, Georgia. A Johnson High School sophomore and an African American male, he was struck by eleven bullets fired from a .40-caliber pistol.

Investigators focused on 21-year-old Marquis Young. Young later told a jailhouse informant he shot Bowers in retaliation, claiming Bowers had shot at him a few days earlier. A Chatham County Superior Court jury found Young guilty of murder and related charges on April 1, 2010; he was sentenced to life plus five years.

Young appealed, arguing ineffective counsel and insufficient evidence; in 2013 the Georgia Supreme Court denied the appeal and affirmed the conviction. Does anyone have memories of Ramone or information about the events on East Duffy Street that night?
