Janice Kay Morrow Chapman was 22 when she was abducted and murdered near Rome, Georgia, on October 3, 1982. Investigators reported she had been repeatedly injected with drain cleaner and was then shot; her body was later found discarded in a remote area of North Georgia.
The case led to the identification and arrest of Judith and Alvin Neelley. Judith Neelley was sentenced to death for her role in the crime; that sentence was later commuted to life in prison. Alvin Neelley also faced severe legal consequences for his part in the murder.
If anyone knew Janice or has information about her abduction and death, please share what you remember.
