Anthony Pedroza, 23, of Zion, Illinois, was shot and killed shortly after 2:20 a.m. on December 24, 2022, inside Stretch’s Sports Bar and Grill in Waukegan. The Lake County Coroner ruled the cause of death a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers arrived after a 911 call and found Pedroza wounded; lifesaving measures were started and he was taken to Vista Medical Center East, where he was pronounced dead.

A second man in his 20s from Waukegan suffered non-life-threatening injuries and went to the hospital on his own before police arrived. The Waukegan Police Criminal Investigations Division and Major Crime Scene Unit handled the scene. Investigators later identified 30-year-old Robert B. Sudduth of Waukegan as a suspect; he was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and held at the Lake County Jail on $2 million bond. Authorities said they were not seeking additional suspects.

Did anyone in the Waukegan or Zion area witness the shooting or have information that could help investigators?
