Cristina Lahoz, a 32-year-old woman from Chicago, was found fatally shot on October 6, 2022, in Bolingbrook, Illinois. She was discovered in the driver’s seat of her vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds; the car was about 100 feet off the road in a grassy area near Poplar Park. Responding officers tried life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Tire marks in the grass and neighbor reports of hearing gunshots and seeing a car spinning in circles suggest a struggle or erratic driving prior to the shooting.

Friends described Lahoz as dedicated, selfless, and outgoing; she was a longtime manager at a Dunkin’ Donuts and is remembered by a close-knit group of mourners. No arrests have been announced and the Bolingbrook Police Department is investigating. Tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers, which is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
