On the morning of April 2, 2022, Jamie L. Joiner, 30, was fatally shot outside her rural Collinsville, Illinois, residence. Her sister Jessica Joiner, 34, who had driven from California to help Jamie move out of the home she shared with an estranged boyfriend, was also killed. Both women suffered gunshot wounds to the head and neck. A family dog was found dead at the scene. A U-Haul truck and a rental vehicle were present, consistent with the planned relocation.

Investigators say Jamie had told her former partner, 32-year-old Adam Cobb, of her intention to leave. Law enforcement pursued Cobb after his vehicle was spotted; his disabled vehicle on U.S. Route 51 near Pana led to an encounter in which a state trooper fired, striking Cobb. He died at a hospital the next day. Authorities recovered a large-caliber firearm believed to be the murder weapon and continue to investigate.

Did anyone know Jamie or Jessica, or did anyone in the Collinsville area see activity around that home on April 2, 2022?
