I can't even begin to imagine the strength it must take to push through such unimaginable grief and still have the presence of mind to track down and gather evidence leading to the arrest of her son’s alleged killer. Her actions are nothing short of inspiring.
It's frightening to think about the apparent recklessness of someone like Norwood, who allegedly played Russian roulette with a teenager's life. While Norwood's attorney argues the shooting was accidental, I find it hard to reconcile that with the steps taken afterward to cover it up, which just seems so calculated and cold. The trauma that must inflict on a mother, a community, is just beyond belief.
