Kameron J. Dorsey was 18 when he was shot and killed on February 19, 2020, in Fairview Heights, Illinois. Police responded about 8:40 PM to the 100 block of Lakeland Hills Drive and found Dorsey inside his garage; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Dorsey had invited two acquaintances, Dominic Wilbourn and Danayeous Macon, both 18, to his home to socialize. The two allegedly planned a robbery and during the encounter one of them fired several shots that killed Dorsey. The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis logged over 1,600 investigative hours on the case and helped secure arrests. Wilbourn, of Swansea, Illinois, was arrested February 22, 2020, and charged with first-degree murder with bond set at $500,000. Macon, of St. Louis, Missouri, was arrested at an apartment complex in north St. Louis County and charged with first-degree murder with bond set at $1 million.
