On December 4, 2019, at about 3:30 a.m., Quincy police responded to a reported shooting in the 700 block of Cedar Street and found 26-year-old Emond Morris of Quincy dead from a gunshot wound. Investigators determined Morris and 51-year-old Christopher Huckstep, also of Quincy, were acquainted, and that the shooting was not random.
Officers located Huckstep shortly after the shooting in the 1200 block of North 12th Street and found him in possession of a firearm. He was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree murder; at his initial court appearance he pleaded not guilty and bond was set at $5 million. A status hearing was scheduled to address further proceedings.
Does anyone in Quincy remember seeing or hearing anything near Cedar Street that night or have information about Morris’s movements that could shed light on what happened?
