Roman Frid, 69, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and his wife Nataliya Ermak, 55, were found unresponsive in the underground parking garage of their apartment complex on November 17, 2019. Both were pronounced dead at the scene after suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Surveillance footage reportedly showed a man later identified as Anatoliy Ermak, Nataliya’s ex-husband, following the couple’s car into the garage, speaking briefly with them and then shooting them before fleeing on foot. An arrest warrant was issued charging him with two counts of first-degree murder. Authorities said the couple had been specifically targeted and that there was no sign of forced entry into the secure parking garage. Roman Frid worked on the custodial crew at Glenbrook North High School and was remembered by colleagues and the community.

Did anyone in the area see the couple in the garage that night or have information about the suspect’s movements prior to the shooting?
