Qwinton Turtle Shackleford, known as Turtle, was 27 when his body was found shot to death on February 10, 2019. He was discovered in an alley off the 500 block of Haussler, between Maple and Sycamore Streets in Centralia. The Marion County Coroner confirmed his identity and reported multiple gunshot wounds; his death was ruled a homicide and local detectives opened an investigation.

Shackleford had a criminal history that included a 2015 shooting tied to a dice game; he was originally charged with Class X felony aggravated battery and Class X felony armed robbery, later pleading guilty to a reduced charge of felony reckless discharge of a firearm and receiving four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Investigators noted he had been involved in various disputes and altercations in the months before his death and interviewed several people who had known him and were at the scene. No arrests had been made and the case remained open as detectives followed leads.

Did anyone who knew Qwinton Turtle Shackleford or was in that part of Centralia in February 2019 see or hear anything that could help the investigation?
