Marcus Robinson was 33 when he was fatally shot on July 4, 2018, in Riverdale, Illinois. The shooting happened about 2:20 a.m. in the 14200 block of South Clark Street. Robinson was struck multiple times and died from his injuries.
Riverdale police launched a homicide investigation after the early morning shooting and concluded Robinson had been targeted. Initial inquiries produced no immediate arrest, and investigators asked the community for help. Several suspects were later identified and charged; the case drew attention because of the violence and its impact on the neighborhood.
The investigation and subsequent prosecutions involved forensic evidence and witness testimony, and the legal process was closely followed locally. Does anyone who lived in Riverdale around July 2018 have information about that block or the people who were there that night?
