Tyrone A. Grady, 45, was found dead on Chaparral Lane near Glen Carbon, Illinois, on February 11, 2018. Deputies responded to a call around 8:00 PM and discovered Grady in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was brought in to assist with the investigation.

Detectives noted a potentially related incident three days earlier. On February 8, police were called to Grady’s St. Louis County residence, where 32-year-old Leanna McCurry was found dead of a suspected overdose; Grady was among those who reported that scene. Investigators considered whether McCurry’s death was connected to Grady’s killing.

Three St. Louis men were charged with first-degree murder in Grady’s death: Julius Evans, 31, Ralph Evans Jr., 29, and Dana Stone, 48. Each had bond set at $2,000,000. No clear motive was disclosed. Did anyone in the area know Grady or have information about his contacts in early February 2018?
