Shun Ammons, 47, was shot to death on the evening of February 2, 2018, in South Holland, Illinois. The shooting happened around 8:10 p.m. in the 16900 block of Greenwood Avenue, where Ammons lived; the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced him dead at the scene at 8:30 p.m. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

Ammons was a part owner and finance executive of Ammons Transportation Service, a family school bus company. Authorities charged his son, Keymon Ammons, with first-degree murder; Keymon was ordered held without bond on February 5, 2018. Investigators cited surveillance footage placing him at the scene and other evidence.

A 23-year-old woman, Jazmin A. Davis, was accused of obstructing justice by removing items from a Volkswagen Jetta at the direction of Keymon Ammons; surveillance showed her taking several items that police later found missing. Did anyone in the South Holland area have information about Shun Ammons, his work, or movements that night?
