On June 5, 2006, at about 12:10 a.m. in Salisbury, Maryland, 25-year-old Richard Darrien Tull was struck by a bullet in the parking lot of the Queen City Elks Lodge at 230 Catherine Street. Officers found Tull behind a residence near the lodge with a serious gunshot wound; he was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center and died later that day. Investigators concluded the shooting occurred in the lodge parking lot and classified the death as a homicide.
Several witnesses were at the scene, but the only description given to police was of a Black male in a white t-shirt; otherwise the assailant’s identity remains unknown. No arrests have been announced, and the investigation is now a cold case.
If anyone remembers that night, saw a white t-shirt-wearing man near the lodge, or has information about Richard’s death, please come forward and share what you know.
