Christopher Allen Lloyd, a 45-year-old African American man from Gary, Indiana, was killed during an armed robbery at a Boost Mobile store in South Holland, Illinois, on May 17, 2016, at about 2 p.m. Two brothers, DeAngelo Parker, 27, and Floyd Bell, 24, attempted the robbery. Parker entered masked and armed; Bell waited outside as the getaway driver. Parker took money from the register and ordered the clerk and customers to the back to open the safe. Lloyd tried to disarm Parker and was shot. He was taken to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey and pronounced dead at 2:46 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Parker was found hiding behind a Dumpster a short distance from the store; police recovered a gun and a sweatshirt there and noted bloodstains on his clothing. Bell was arrested the next day after being seen driving away in a white vehicle. Both men were charged with first-degree murder; Parker was held without bond and Bell’s bond was set at $750,000. Court filings show both brothers admitted their roles, with Parker confessing to the robbery and shooting and Bell admitting he planned the robbery and acted as the getaway driver.

Does anyone have information about Lloyd, his life in Gary, or witnesses who were in the store that afternoon?
