Salahudin Malik Robbins, 29, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of December 14, 2015, in the parking lot of the Bottoms Up Strip Club in Brooklyn, Illinois. The shooting occurred about 3 a.m.; Robbins was pronounced dead at the scene and at least three other people were injured.
Authorities arrested 25-year-old Tony Hampton of St. Louis and charged him with first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon by a previously convicted felon in connection with Robbins’ death. Prosecutors presented surveillance footage at trial that reportedly shows Hampton running toward Robbins and firing three close-range shots into Robbins’ head while Robbins lay face down on the ground. Bail for Hampton was set at $1 million. No motive has been disclosed.
