Zarra Strickland was 28 when she and 29-year-old Theodore Hill were found dead in the yard of a vacant home on Western Avenue in Danville, Illinois. Their bodies were discovered on August 4, 2015, and both had died of gunshot wounds to the head. Local investigators determined the two had been shot while riding in a car on August 2, 2015, and the scene where the bodies were found began the criminal inquiry.

Witnesses later identified a man as the shooter and he was charged with first-degree murder. At a sentencing hearing family members described Strickland as vibrant and spoke about the dreams that were cut short by her death. The judge called the crime horrific, heinous, and disgusting. Does anyone have information about Zarra’s life in Danville or remember the events of early August 2015 that could shed light on this case?
