Nineteen-year-old Wilson Jr. Alexander was shot and killed on the night of July 31, 2011, outside 40 Ames Street in the Franklin Fields Housing Development in Boston. Police found him lying in the street; three other young men were wounded in the same incident and survived. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Alexander’s death a homicide.

Ballistics later tied the gun used to kill Alexander to two other violent incidents: a June 2011 shooting near Harambe Playground in which a stray bullet struck a 4-year-old boy, and the October 2011 murder of Paula Jacobs outside her grandmother’s home in the Orchard Park Housing Development. No arrests or publicly identified suspects have been announced and the case remains unsolved. Alexander’s mother, Paris Alston, has spoken about her ongoing pain and the need for justice.

Anyone with information about the shootings or the weapon involved is asked to contact the Boston Police.
