Ronie Taylor was 15 when he was shot and killed after a birthday party on Warren Street in Bogalusa, Louisiana, on the night of December 9, 2022. He was struck by multiple bullets at the gathering, taken to a nearby hospital, and did not survive. Two other teenagers were wounded in the same shooting and survived.

Ronie was a student at Bogalusa High School, the youngest of eight children, described by his father Reginald Taylor as a positive, motivated young man who loved music and wanted to own a business. His parents had believed he was at a community resource center that evening before learning he had been shot.

The Bogalusa Police Department arrested five juveniles in connection with the shooting on February 7, 2023, but the District Attorney later told the family there was insufficient evidence to file charges and the juveniles were released from detention. The case remains unresolved; anyone with information about Ronie or the shooting is asked to come forward.
