Daniel George was 22 when he was shot and killed on the evening of Monday, November 28, 2022, in the backyard of his family’s home on Academy Drive in Metairie, Louisiana. He had been spending time there with his two-year-old son when gunfire rang out, ending his life.
Authorities say the killing grew out of an online feud between George and a teenager. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office identified 16-year-old Antonio Moore as the shooter and named Nicolas Robinson as the getaway driver. George’s family reported receiving threats after the homicide.
The investigation led to arrests; both Moore and Robinson later entered guilty pleas to manslaughter. The specific online argument that preceded the shooting has not been publicly detailed.
Did anyone who knew Daniel or who was in Metairie that night see or hear anything that could add to the record?
