A late-night dispute at the French Market Express on University Parkway in Natchitoches, Louisiana, ended in gunfire on June 25, 2022. The exchange left two men dead and a third person wounded. One of the deceased was identified as 23-year-old Daniel Jamar Williams of Creston.

Investigators say Williams and another individual were at a gas pump when 21-year-old Marquis Evans of Natchitoches approached and an altercation escalated into shootings. When the firing stopped, both Williams and Evans were found dead at the scene; a person with Williams suffered a gunshot injury. At the time, Evans was out on a $500,000 bond for an attempted second-degree murder charge related to an April 2021 shooting. No arrests or additional identified suspects have been reported.

Are there witnesses or anyone with information about what led to the confrontation that night?
