Clarence Mitchell, 34, was ambushed while driving in the 100 block of Bradley Street in Eunice, Louisiana, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. A shotgun blast struck his vehicle, causing him to crash into a nearby house; he died of his injuries the next day. Witnesses at the scene described the shooter and a white SUV used to flee the scene.

Authorities identified 35-year-old Leonard Miller of Eunice as the primary suspect and located him in Lafayette with assistance from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office on April 13, 2022. Miller was charged with second-degree murder and later indicted by a St. Landry Parish Grand Jury.
