Deven Slade Blood Brooks, a 27-year-old White man from Alexandria, Louisiana, was found dead on January 11, 2022, near the Red River. His body had a single gunshot wound to the head and he was bound with zip ties, Gorilla Tape, and steel cables. Two days earlier he had been reported as a possible kidnapping victim.

Investigators arrested three people in connection with Brooks’s death: Jamaria Randle, her husband Terrance Lavalais, and Randle’s cousin Tremaine Veal. They were charged with aggravated kidnapping and second-degree murder. Reportedly the perpetrators took and used Brooks’s credit cards; Brooks had been in a brief relationship with Randle and was known for being generous toward her.

Does anyone in the Alexandria area remember Deven or have information about his movements in early January 2022?
