Mauricio Mejia was 16 when he ran away from The Gemini House shelter in Lakewood, Colorado, on September 12, 2009. He was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers.

Mauricio had been placed in the shelter after saying he had no family, so investigators lacked relatives to contact. The Gemini House has since closed, and another youth had gone missing from the same shelter a few years earlier, which adds context to the environment he left. The Lakewood Police Department handled the investigation but has not located him.

If anyone knew Mauricio, lived near The Gemini House, or has information about where he might have gone after September 12, 2009, please come forward.
