Kar’Nas Coleman was 16 when he was fatally wounded by gunfire on July 29, 2021, in Kenner, Louisiana. Coleman was an African American male. A 15-year-old was arrested and accused in connection with the killing.
The shooting that killed Coleman appears to have led to a later attack on the same house where he was killed. In January after the killing, someone fired into that residence while the 15-year-old suspect was there on bail; he was asleep and unharmed, but a 10-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were injured. Authorities named Ronald Johnson as one of four people believed to have taken part in that retaliatory shooting.
Before Johnson could be arrested in connection with the retaliatory attack, he was found shot multiple times and killed in a Lacombe neighborhood in early 2023. Does anyone have information about Coleman’s killing or the subsequent shootings?
