Hope Nettleton, 37, of Montegut, Louisiana, was killed on January 13, 2021, during a murder-for-hire plot that targeted a different woman. The scheme was allegedly arranged by Beaux Cormier to prevent his niece from testifying against him on an accusation of rape. Two men, Andrew Eskine and Dalvin Wilson, were hired to carry out the hit.

Brittany Cormier reportedly identified herself as the target to protect her niece and was shot and killed. Hope Nettleton, who was visiting at the time and tried to intervene, was also shot and killed. Investigators say Eskine helped plan the crime and provided the vehicle; authorities reported a prior unsuccessful attempt to carry out the murder.

Beaux Cormier, Andrew Eskine, and Dalvin Wilson were arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, and the district attorney has indicated the death penalty is a possibility. Does anyone have information about Hope’s movements that day or witnessed suspicious activity near Brittany Cormier’s home on January 13, 2021?
