On the evening of October 22, 2020, 47-year-old Alvin Gator Geisenheimer was killed during a domestic dispute at a residence on Airline Highway in Sorrento, Louisiana. During an altercation with his 16-year-old son, the teenager shot Geisenheimer. Deputies from the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office found Geisenheimer dead at the scene.
Authorities arrested the son and charged him with second-degree murder; he was booked into the St. Bernard Youth Detention Center. Geisenheimer, a Baton Rouge native who lived in Sorrento and worked as an ironworker for Turner Industries, enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, four children, his parents, and a sister, and a memorial service was held shortly after the killing.
